General Information

Title: Dona nobis pacem
Composer: Maggie Furtak
Lyricist:

Number of voices: 5vv   Voicing: SSATB
Genre: SacredAnthem

Language: Latin
Instruments: Keyboard

First published: 2014
Description: This is mainly homophonic, but still rather difficult, with some challenging cluster chords, and the possibility that the choir will fall asleep when they aren't singing and miss the notes for their next entrance. The soprano 1 part, can be sung by all first sopranos, or a small section, but I would be hesitant to assign it as a solo. The part dips into the lower part of the range and projection may be an issue where it overlaps the entrance by the rest of the choir. Enjoy, and please let me know if you have any feedback about this piece. pateceramics@yahoo.com Best, M. Furtak.
