Composed by Traditional. Arranged by David Warin Solomons. Folk,Renaissance,World. 7 pages. David Warin Solomons #2028985. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.575875).

The Willow song is a traditional tune (first documented in a lute book dated 1583) which was used for Desdemona's lament "The poor soul sat sighing by a sycamore tree" in Shakespeare's tragedy Othello. I have arranged it initially in simple form but, as the song progresses, the flute puts more variety into the melody and the guitar sometimes takes over the melody. The pdf file contains score and parts. The sound sample is an electronic preview.
