Trumpet Concerto in D Major - Solo Trumpet, 2 Horns, Strings (Score - parts are also available) - Johann Georg Leopold Mozart was born in Augsburg (Germany) on November 14th, 1719. He is best known as having been the father of Wolfgang Amadeus, in the development and furtherance of whose genius he willingly sacrificed his own career. However, along with the Cassation in G and Toy Symphony (once attributed to Haydn), the present concerto is one of his most famous works. Leopold Mozart died in Salzburg (Austria) on May 28th, 1787.
