The flute - trombone combination is a tricky one, and care needs to be taken to avoid swamping the flute. Much of the flute part could be played an octave higher, and perhaps the trombone could be muted. This version of the duet is in A major, which is better suited to the flute and cello ombination. A version in Bb is also available, which should suit the trombone better. Do listen to the mp3 file, which is of the flute and trombone version. The trombone on the recording is synthesised, but the flute is real, and it gives a much better idea of how it would sound live.
