i think the verse riff is backwards, 5 then 7, and the chorus type riff and fill just add a 32 on the fourth string and the outro i play it 6 on A 7 on D and well 4 on A with the open notes.....might be wrong but it sounds right when my band plays it

It's like quickly tapping the fret as you pluck the note, just enough to make the fretted note heard before letting the open ring.
