Why is Mr. Doane credited with a song qwritten b y Fanny Crosby (the blind composer)??

The lyricists need to be credited for each of Mr. Doane's compositions as they are titled and largely credited to the authors of the texts. It was nice to read Mr. Doane's biography and his musical contributions to posterity.
